Beeing an Intern

I love practical jokes (as long as they are not on me!), and people that play along with good spirit.  We thought that we would tell all the interns that we dress up for Halloween, but then don't.  Someone may have leaked the deal early on, but then Justin & Chris came dressed up. 

Having that kind of good sense of humor is what makes our interns great!  Thanks Chris & Justin!  Now go make us some more coffee...  

eBoost Interns Spoofs 'The Office'

Ah, our crazy interns.  God love 'em, they're adorable.  To-date, we've had three official intern classes and all of our interns have been tremendous talents.  Alpha Chi Omega is no different.

Intellectual or Physical Challenges: eBoosters Never Back Down From a Challenge

Garret and Johnny take on the Great Urban Race

This weekend, Garret and I tackled the Great Urban Race.  For those who are unfamiliar with this event, it's an offshoot of The Amazing Race - a scavenger hunt across the city where your most important tools are your Googling abilities (we relied heavily on calling Nick; poor guy, we probably ruined his weekend), physical capabilities (you gotta have endurance), and moxie. 

What an awesome time!  Garret and I ended up crossing the race in 36th place, a few minutes off the mark from finishing in the top 25 which would have gotten us placement in the Nationals tourney to be held in Vegas on November 8th.  I take full accountability for this shortfall - Garret and I jumped off the bus with other contestants and were on a full sprint down the final straightaway to our last event when I pulled up gimpy; my abductor cramped up.  It wasn't until Garret sprinted back and grabbed me that I realized that we were actually in the running for the top 25.  Damn, I hate to lose!  Well, we also found out that one of our riddle answers were incorrect as well, which deducted us :30 minutes ... which was also my fault.  Whoops!

New Universal McCann Research Paper Demonstrates How Social Media Influences Buying Decisions

It should come as no surprise to anyone who reads BoostStrapping that one of the top questions we get from clients is "How Involved Should We Be in Social Media?"  To date, we've used frameworks and relevant data to help clients wade through and find their own sweet spot in social media. 

Today, Tom Smith from Universal McCann released a report called, "When Did We Start Trusting Strangers?" which supports what the social media marketing community has espoused for years: social media is the single most influential medium that directly impacts how and what we purchase.

I’m Grateful For ….

This week has been a turbulent and sobering week for worldwide financial markets. At eBoost Consulting the mood remains optimistic and upbeat as we continue moving forward with our plans to scale and grow our firm. This has however been a turbulent couple of months for many of our clients who have felt the constraints of the current economic climate. When pondering on these recent events I began thinking of everything I am grateful for during these unprecedented times ….

The economy may be a mess but our future remains bright. When you work with such a brilliant group of people you realize that as a team we can overcome any challenge, obstacle, or barrier that may come our way. I would encourage everyone to turn off the news, filter out the negative chatter, and be grateful for the positive forces in your life.
